Residential Complex in Nieuw-Crooswijk, the Netherlands

The residential complex seeks to invigorate the residential area in (Nieuw) Crooswijk. Rather questioning how the inhabitants are going to live in their houses, the question lies how to design intercommunication between
neighbours. The in between space is created to be ambiguous and neither explicit private or public making appropriation exciting.

At the top dwellings, a comfortable diffused daylight is used for the introverted nature of the space.

The housing typologies in this residential complexes are divided into 3 types, from the bottom to the top level, different social interactions are encouraged depending on the social initiative of the inhabitants.
